Answer 1

Part 1:

What is the name of the organization?

The name of the organization I choose is Oceana.

When were they founded?

They were founded in 2001.

Why were they founded?

They were found to make our oceans more biodiverse since oceans cover most of our earth and we should be concerned with the pollution going on.

What do they actually do?

They're committed to supporting science-based fishery management and repairing our oceans, they also want to restore our oceans to former levels of abundance.

What are their goals?

They want to make the oceans a cleaner and environmentally place for people, they support lots of research that may help our oceans before it's too late.

Why is their work important?

It's important because oceans cover about 71% of our world and they also affect many environments especially marine life we should try and preserve the ocean before its destroyed due to pollution.

Part 2:

How has your selected organization helped the environment?

They have achieved hundreds of concrete policy victories for marine life and habitats. Some of the things they have done are stopping bottom trawling in sensitive habitats and protecting sea life from commercial fishing gear.

Write a five to seven-sentence informational paragraph about the important work of the organization you have selected.

Some stuff Oceana has achieved is that they're campaigning for permanent protection for Frenchman Bay and Maine's coastal waters. To add on, they helped passed a new part of the Fisheries Act which states new rules that legally require depleted fish populations to be rebuilt. Additionally, they helped set appropriate catch limits for fishers which helps the suffering of decades of overfishing and excessive uncounted bycatch that environments suffered. To help out with ocean plastic pollution they ended up having Coca-Cola sell a quarter of its product in reusable packaging which would make a huge difference in the pollution which is pilling up in the ocean. Further on, they helped pass an act that will help an endangered shark get a chance at survival due to the new protections passed.

Part 3:

Create TWO different formats that would be featured with your paragraph on a webpage entitled “Environmental Heroes: Anyone Can Be One.”

What can the average citizen do to help your organization’s cause?

An average citizen can help out by demanding plastic-free alternatives, they can vote on ocean issues they can eat sustainable seafood, there is much someone can do to help out and every little thing matters.

How has the organization made a difference?

This organization has made a difference by passing hundreds of policies for marine life and habitats.

Now, think about how you can communicate this information in different formats. Make sure you include the TWO media.

Two people are debating taxation. One person sees taxes as a burden and talks about "tax relief." The other person considers taxes to be "community maintenance fees." Their different points of view illustrate how ________ can affect our perceptions of an issue.

A. frames

B. typologies

C. cultural emphasis

D. prototypes

Answers

According to the information, it can be inferred that their different points of view illustrate how frames can affect our perceptions of an issue (option A).

What affects a person's point of view?

Point of view is a term that refers to a person's perception of a subject. The point of view is the way in which all the external and internal factors that have interacted with that person influence their way of interpreting the facts of her reality. For example, one person perceives studying as something great because she was raised in an environment given to education, while another person perceives studying as an obligation because study habits were not created from her childhood.

What affects the point of view of the two people discussing taxes?

The factor that influences the different points of view of people who discuss taxes is the frame. The frame refers to the whole context that supports your point of view, for example, the person who says that taxes should be ended probably does not know in depth what the function of taxes is and therefore thinks that it would be simple and easy to remove them. On the other hand, the person who considers that they are a good option to maintain society must know how the state works and the importance of taxes for citizens. Therefore, the correct answer is A. Frame.

what are implications of location shape and size of Ethiopia and horn on the physical environment socioeconomic and political aspects ?

Answers

Answer:

Ethiopia is a country located in the Horn of Africa, which is a peninsula that extends into the Arabian Sea. Its location has several implications for the physical environment, socioeconomic, and political aspects of the country.

In terms of the physical environment, Ethiopia's location in the Horn of Africa means that it is located in a region that is prone to drought and desertification. The country's highland terrain also means that it has a varied climate, with cool temperatures in the highlands and hot temperatures in the lowlands. The country's size also plays a role in its physical environment, as it is one of the largest countries in Africa, with a diverse range of ecosystems and landscapes.

Ethiopia's location and size also have implications for its socioeconomic aspects. The country's location in the Horn of Africa makes it a crossroads for trade and commerce, and it has a long history of trade and cultural exchange with neighboring countries. However, the country's size and population (it is the second-most populous country in Africa) also present challenges in terms of economic development and the distribution of resources.

Politically, Ethiopia's location in the Horn of Africa has also had significant implications. The country has a long history of conflict with its neighbors, particularly over border disputes and access to resources. In addition, Ethiopia's location has made it a target for external powers seeking to exert influence in the region, and it has had a tumultuous political history as a result.

Overall, Ethiopia's location and size have had a significant impact on its physical environment, socioeconomic aspects, and political landscape.
