Hi can someone think a response so I can write back to my teacher. So basically we had finals and on the day of the exam (for that class) I did the test but when I submitted it (I wasn’t finished but we had to go to home room) it didn’t say “your work is being processed” instead it kept going back to the last question not wanting me to submit it. Then I told my teacher about this and he said that he submitted the test for me but besides number 4 (which was an essay). At the end he said that he doesn’t know if it was by design. I looked up if what “design” in this case meant and it says that I haven’t answered number 4 on purpose (which I didn’t I was on my second paragraph not done though) And now I don’t know of how to respond to what he said because I don’t want to sound like “oh it’s because I didn’t finish” or like something that would make him think I just didn’t do it.

In what way did the importation of american bullion negatively affect the spanish economy?

Answers

The value of Spain's current currencies decreased as a result of those shiploads of gold and silver entering the market and being distributed more widely. The Spanish economy was under considerable pressure from American bullion, and this pressure only grew as new expenses associated with the empire were incurred.

The expenses of the huge and far-off American colonies put a lot of strain on the economy of the peninsula, which ultimately contributed to the financial difficulties that underpinned the Spanish fall. Spain needed a lot of resources to manage the vast new empire, and the empire's distance made things very difficult: "Communications between (the New World) and the mother country involved difficult, time-consuming journeys by land and sea," and the "sheer distance increased the problem of governance."

It was determined that the ensuing Spanish bureaucracy was "cumbersome, corrupt, and appallingly slow" and that "the government's greatest failing lay not in its institutions or intentions, but in the reality that it could do nothing swiftly" as a result.

BlueSky Airlines needs to determine the optimal booking limits and protection levels for their single-leg revenue management for the week of March 19, 2007 through March 25, 2007. To make these decisions, they have collected daily demand data for full-fare tickets over the previous 12 months. Using this data, they need to estimate the distribution of demand for full-fare tickets to determine the necessary protection level.

They should then use a simple formula to calculate the protection level and the optimal booking limit for each day of the week. It is important to note that these data are only for tickets on that specific flight and not for connections from other flights operated by BlueSky.
To determine the optimal booking limits for BlueSky Airlines' single-leg revenue management from March 19, 2007, to March 25, 2007, for economy-class seats on the Airbus A320 flying to Salt Lake City at 9:30 P.M., consider the following steps:

1. Analyze the historical data collected by BlueSky's revenue managers for daily demand for full-fare tickets over the previous 12 months.
2. Estimate the distribution of demand for full-fare tickets, F(Q), based on the historical data.
3. Apply a formula, such as the one suggested in Netessine and Shumsky (2002), to calculate the protection level for full-fare seats.
4. Use the protection level to find the optimal booking limit for economy-class seats for each day of the week.
5. Determine seven protection levels and seven booking limits, one pair for each day of the week, to maximize revenue from the two-tier fare structure of advance purchase tickets ($114) and full-fare refundable tickets ($174).
By following these steps, you can develop the best possible strategy for managing seat allocation between advance purchase and full-fare refundable tickets, ensuring that BlueSky Airlines maximizes its revenue during the week of March 19, 2007, through March 25, 2007.
