Which is a reason that the writer develops in “Pedaling in the Right Direction”?

No one knows the long-term effects of pollution from cars and trucks.

Laurel Falls is a small enough town that it will be easy to build bike lanes.

People will get healthy exercise from riding their bikes to more places.

Bike-sharing programs are becoming popular in cities like Laurel Falls.

Answers

Answer:People will get healthy exercise from riding their bikes to more places"

Explanation:The article discusses the benefits of biking, including improving health and reducing pollution. The writer argues that incorporating bike lanes and encouraging more people to bike instead of drive can have positive effects on both individuals and the environment. The idea is that by making biking a more viable option for transportation, people will be more likely to choose it and thereby improve their own health while reducing the pollution caused by cars and trucks.

Answer:

The writer of “Pedaling in the Right Direction” develops the reason that people will get healthy exercise from riding their bikes to more places. The writer cites a study that found that people who bike to work are more likely to be physically active than those who drive. The writer also argues that biking is a great way to get exercise and fresh air, and that it can help reduce stress and improve mental health.

The other reasons you provided are also valid, but the writer does not focus on them as much in the article.

What is one way in which a field investigation can differ from a classroom or laboratory experiment?

1.In field investigations, you are usually working with much larger animals than in the lab.

2.In field investigations, it is much easier to separate your control and experimental groups.

3.In field investigations, it is much more difficult to separate your control and experimental groups.

4.In field investigations, you are always working with microscopic organisms. please asp.

Answers

Answer: Classroom or laboratory experiments offer more control, field investigations provide a more authentic representation of real-world conditions but with less control over variables and the environment.

Explanation:

A field experiment refers to a research study conducted in a natural or real-world setting while laboratory investigation refers to conducting research in a controlled laboratory under controlled conditions.

In a classroom or laboratory experiment, researchers have a higher degree of control over the variables involved. They can carefully manipulate and control the conditions to isolate and study the specific factors they are interested in. The environment is controlled, allowing for consistent and controlled measurements.

On the other hand, a field investigation takes place in a real-world setting, such as a natural environment or a specific location relevant to the study. In this context, researchers have less control over variables and conditions. They must work with the existing conditions, including natural variations and unpredictable factors. The environment and variables may be influenced by external factors that are beyond the control of the researcher.

Field investigations often involve collecting data in real-time, directly observing phenomena, and interacting with the environment and participants in a natural setting. This can provide a more realistic and ecologically valid representation of the phenomenon under study. However, the lack of control over variables and environmental conditions can introduce greater complexity and potential confounding factors compared to controlled laboratory experiments.

Noah began racing go-karts when he was just six years old. Noah has traveled to other states to race, win, and finish in the top five, an impressive accomplishment for anyone but especially for a young driver. He now races a 1934 Ford Legends Coupe, a car that weighs 1,000 pounds and goes faster than 100 miles per hour. Noah regularly competes against drivers who are three times older than he is, but he does not let that intimidate him. He explained in one news article, "I have been racing against older people all my life. When you strap on a helmet, you are no longer a 13-year-old kid, you are a racecar driver. The other drivers don't treat me like a kid. They treat me the same as the other drivers on the track." He has the nickname "Little Gator" partly because of his size and partly because of Gatorland's sponsorship over the last several years.

In paragraph 2, Noah says, "I have been racing against older people all my life. When you strap on a helmet, you are no longer a 13-year-old kid, you are a racecar driver."

What is the implicit meaning of his words?

a
I am very talented because I am able to race against adults.

b
Everyone on the racetrack is equal.

c
All racecar drivers have to wear helmets regardless of age.

d
Older racers are embarrassed to compete against a kid.

Answers

Answer:

B

Explanation:

B. Because he is stating that even tho he races against older people all the time. Once he puts his helmet on he is known as a racecar driver as the others, not a 13 year old kid. And they all are equal because they all are racecar drivers regardless of their age.

One day I was at my grandma's house with my cousins and brother she had a big yard and tons of junk food. That is probably why my parents don’t let me go there much, anyway, we were at my grandma's house and it was getting dark but it was summertime so it wasn’t cold. My grandma's house has tons of cactus and sagebrush and a bunch of sand and small hills. We were inside the house eating and decided to go outside.

We started by playing hide and seek and then we started playing tag. When I was running away from my brother I jumped down a small hill and on the side of the hill was covered in cactus, so I kinda fell in the cactus. Once I landed in the cactus I began to scream, then my uncle came and picked me up and brought me up to the house. Once I got inside we began to pull the cactus needles out of my whole left side. After a few hours of pain, we got all the cactus out of my body, it took a few days to fully recover from the cactus needles. There were still some tiny little needles in my skin.

To this day I still hate cactus, but I still love my grandma's house and my grandma. I’ve only fallen in cactus once and I’m a lot more careful around cactus and other things. This took place about 3 years ago, but more recently I was walking in my grandma's yard and then the sand under my feet sank into a snake hole. I stepped away from the hole and looked in it and saw the head of a snake, I couldn’t tell what kind of snake it was because I ran away too fast. Still, I have good and bad memories from my grandma's house. One of the good memories is making cookies with my grandma. My grandma and grandpa are still alive and well.
