Answers

An example of a nontariff barrier would be implementing strict regulations and standards on imported products. lower prices

An example of a nontariff barrier would be implementing strict regulations and standards on imported products. This can include safety and health standards, environmental regulations, and product labeling requirements. These regulations can be seen as barriers to trade as they can increase the cost of production and limit the availability of foreign products in the domestic market.

For instance, countries may require specific labeling standards for imported products, such as mandatory nutrition labels or country of origin labeling. These labeling requirements can be costly for exporters to comply with and can lead to delays in shipments. Similarly, countries may impose restrictions on the importation of certain products, such as restrictions on the importation of genetically modified foods or products that do not meet environmental regulations.

In some cases, these nontariff barriers can be used to protect domestic industries from foreign competition. For example, a country may require all imported cars to meet certain environmental or safety standards that are difficult for foreign car manufacturers to comply with, effectively limiting the availability of foreign cars in the domestic market.

Overall, nontariff barriers can have a significant impact on international trade and can lead to increased costs and limited availability of imported products in the domestic market.

Which of the following marketing activities would be most feasible for this nonprofit?
A. Use inexpensive digital marketing tools to inform the community about an upcoming fundraising event.B. E). Use inexpensive digital marketing tools to inform the community about an upcoming fundraising event.

Explanation:

The 'use of inexpensive digital marketing tools for informing the community regarding the approaching fundraising event' would be the most appropriate and feasible for the non-profit organization as it would be the most reasonable for the firm. A big-budget expense on marketing the event would neither be affordable due to the small budget nor beneficial for such an organization. Thus, using inexpensive digital marketing would publicize the event on an affordable budget and prove helpful in gathering good collections in the event. Hence, option E is the correct answer.

The journal entry that Flora will make to reflect this change in value will include debiting the available-for-sale securities account with $76,000 and crediting the investment in securities account with $80,000, showing that the securities have increased in value by $4,000.

Available-for-sale securities are the securities that a company holds, and it intends to hold for some time, to generate future cash flows or capital gains. The companies recognize these securities as current assets on their balance sheets because they expect to convert them into cash in the next twelve months. A change in the value of available-for-sale securities will result in a change in the value of the company's assets or liabilities that are recorded on the balance sheet. A company's net income, shareholder equity, and cash balance may also be affected.

Flora Co. holds $76,000 of available-for-sale securities. At the end of the year, Flora Co. determined that the fair value of these securities is $80,000. Flora Co. will record this change in value in its accounting journal entry as follows:

The additional income would Kathy be able to keep as net pay after Marginal tax rate taxes is $1,000.

Given,

Marginal tax rate = 90%

Local business salary = 10,000

The additional amount that can be kept after tax is calculated as follows:

Additional amount = local business salary - (Marginal tax × local business

                                 salary)

                              = 10,000 - (0.90*10,000)
