product x sells for $80 per unit in the marketplace and abc company requires a 35% minimum profit margin on all product lines. in order to compete in this market, the target cost for product x must be equal to or lower than:
When it comes to pricing a product, there are several factors that need to be considered, including production costs, market demand, and competition. In order for a company to stay competitive in the marketplace, it must set a target cost that allows for a minimum profit margin. This is especially important when it comes to product x, which sells for $80 per unit and requires a 35% minimum profit margin.
To determine the target cost for product x, we first need to calculate the minimum profit margin required by the ABC Company. If product x sells for $80 per unit, then 35% of that amount would be $28. This means that the minimum profit margin required by ABC Company on product x is $28 per unit.
In order to compete in the market, the target cost for product x must be equal to or lower than the amount required to achieve the minimum profit margin. Therefore, the target cost for product x would be $52 per unit ($80 - $28 = $52).
If the target cost for product x is higher than $52 per unit, then ABC Company would not be able to achieve its minimum profit margin and would not be competitive in the marketplace. On the other hand, if the target cost is lower than $52 per unit, ABC Company would be able to achieve its minimum profit margin and would be competitive in the marketplace.
In conclusion, setting a target cost that allows for a minimum profit margin is crucial for a company to stay competitive in the marketplace. In the case of product x, the target cost must be equal to or lower than $52 per unit to ensure that ABC Company can achieve its minimum profit margin and remain competitive.

Which is least likely to be an advantage of secondary data? group of answer choices time realism cost fit
The least likely advantage of secondary data among the options provided is "cost fit."
Secondary data refers to information that is collected by someone else for a different purpose but can be used for research or analysis. It offers several advantages, such as time realism, cost, and fit. Time realism is a key advantage of secondary data because it allows researchers to access information from past periods without having to wait for new data to be collected. This can be particularly useful when studying long-term trends or historical patterns. Another advantage is fit, which refers to the relevance and applicability of the secondary data to the research question or problem at hand. When secondary data aligns well with the research objectives, it can save time and resources by providing readily available information.
However, the least likely advantage among the options provided is "cost fit." While cost can be a potential advantage of secondary data, as it is often cheaper to obtain compared to primary data collection, the concept of "cost fit" is not commonly associated with secondary data. The term "cost fit" suggests that secondary data is particularly suitable or aligned with the cost requirements of a specific research project. However, the cost of secondary data can vary depending on factors such as data quality, accessibility, and licensing fees. Therefore, while cost can be a consideration when using secondary data, it is not a distinct advantage related to its fit for a specific project.

consider a standard mortgage (360 months) with monthly payments and a nominal rate of 5.70%. what portion of the payments during the first 30 months goes toward interest?
The portion of the payments during the first 30 months that goes toward interest can be calculated by using the formula for the monthly payment of a standard mortgage. Let's break it down step-by-step:
1. Convert the nominal interest rate to a monthly interest rate. Divide the annual interest rate (5.70%) by 12 to get the monthly interest rate (0.057/12 = 0.00475).
2. Use the formula for calculating the monthly payment of a standard mortgage:
Monthly payment = (Loan amount * Monthly interest rate) / (1 - (1 + Monthly interest rate)^(-Number of months))
In this case, the number of months is 360 (30 years * 12 months). The loan amount is not provided, so we cannot calculate the exact monthly payment.
3. Once you have the monthly payment amount, multiply it by 30 to get the total payments made during the first 30 months.
4. To determine the portion of the payments that goes toward interest, subtract the principal amount from the total payment amount. The principal amount is the original loan amount.
Please note that without the loan amount, we cannot provide an exact answer. However, with the given information, you can now calculate the portion of the payments that goes toward interest by following the steps provided.

The portion of the monthly mortgage payments that goes toward interest during the first 30 months can be calculated using the formula for the monthly interest payment. First, convert the nominal rate of 5.70% to a monthly interest rate by dividing it by 12. This gives a monthly interest rate of 0.475%.
Finally, multiply the monthly interest payment by the number of months in the first 30 months to find the total interest paid during this period. To find the portion of the payments during the first 30 months that goes toward interest for a standard mortgage with a nominal rate of 5.70%, divide the nominal rate by 12 to get the monthly interest rate. Then, calculate the monthly interest payment by multiplying the loan amount by the monthly interest rate. Multiply the monthly interest payment by 30 to find the total interest paid during the first 30 months.
Next, we calculate the monthly interest payment by multiplying the loan amount by the monthly interest rate. For example, if the loan amount is $100,000, the monthly interest payment would be $100,000 multiplied by 0.475%, which equals $475. Finally, to find the total interest paid during the first 30 months, we multiply the monthly interest payment by the number of months in the first 30 months. In this case, we multiply $475 by 30, which equals $14,250.
Therefore, the portion of the payments during the first 30 months that goes toward interest for a standard mortgage with a nominal rate of 5.70% would be $14,250.
In summary, to find the portion of the payments during the first 30 months that goes toward interest for a standard mortgage with a nominal rate of 5.70%, we need to divide the nominal rate by 12 to get the monthly interest rate. Then, we calculate the monthly interest payment by multiplying the loan amount by the monthly interest rate. The estimated total production cost using the high-low method for 14,000 machine hours in January would be $12,320.
The high-low method is a cost analysis technique used to estimate the variable and fixed components of a cost equation based on the highest and lowest levels of activity. To estimate the total production cost using the high-low method, we need to first determine the variable cost per machine hour and the fixed cost.
Using the data given, we can calculate the variable cost per machine hour as follows:
Variable cost per machine hour = (Production cost at highest activity level - Production cost at lowest activity level) / (Machine hours at highest activity level - Machine hours at lowest activity level)
Variable cost per machine hour = ($12,080 - $9,580) / (15,500 - 11,500) = $750 / 4,000 = $0.1875
Next, we can calculate the fixed cost using the high-low method as follows:
Fixed cost = Total production cost - (Variable cost per machine hour x Total machine hours)
Using the data given, we can use the highest activity level of 15,500 machine hours in October to calculate the fixed cost:
Fixed cost = $12,080 - ($0.1875 x 15,500) = $9,035
Finally, we can use the estimated total production cost equation to estimate the total production cost for 14,000 machine hours in January:
Total production cost = Fixed cost + (Variable cost per machine hour x Total machine hours)
Total production cost = $9,035 + ($0.1875 x 14,000) = $12,320.

Answer:
The incremental impact on earnings for Company A from the settlement will give a POSITIVE result.
Explanation:
Without mincing words let's dive straight into the solution to the question above. So, we are given the following parameters which is going to be of help in solving this question.
=> The amount issued by company A = $500,000, the interest = 10%.
(1). For land:
FMV 1/1/20 = $100,000, Cost to Company A = $75,000 , Building Accum Dep 1/1/2020 = $0, and Book Value 1/1/2020 = $75,000.
(2). For Building:
FMV 1/1/20 = $250,000 Original Cost to Company A = $300,000, Building Accum Dep 1/1/2020 =$100,000 and Book Value 1/1/2020 =$200,000.
The FMV 1/1/20 for both the building and the land is given below as;
FMV 1/1/20 = $250,000 + $100,000 = $350,000.
At 1/1/20, the total amount that is being paid = 500,000 + 10/100 × 500,000 = $550,000.
Therefore, ($550,000 - $350,000) is the benefit. That is $200,000 is the benefit.

There is no such thing as "the law" in that law comes from many different sources.
Answer:
At both the federal and state levels, the law of the United States can be traced back to the common law system of English law, which was in force in the American colonies during the time of the Revolutionary War. Since then, U.S. law has diverged greatly from its English roots both in terms of substance and procedure. The main departure occurred when the United States ratified the Constitution in 1789. In effect, the Constitution and federal statutes and laws made in furtherance of the Constitution were established as “the supreme Law of the Land.” From that point on, the law of the land was no longer based on legal practices in England but became distinctly American and home grown. When the individual states ratified their state constitutions, the state legislatures obtained the power to establish state law, or the “Law of the State.” Together, this collection of federal and state laws constitutes something we often refer to as the “body of law.” This body of law governs the behavior of individuals, businesses, and even governments. Just like the human body, the “body of law” is comprised of multiple parts, each performing an individual function while simultaneously working together as a whole. In this section, we will examine two of the most fundamental types of laws, followed by nearly every nation in the world: statutory law and common law.
